This week, we briefly explored the policy and strategy implications of deploying learning analytics. After reviewing this video, reflect on the challenges that you see in your organization in policy setting. Are you doing analytics at a well supported strategic level? If not, what are the barriers?     Surprised to see this exercise as one of the competencies for week 2. I would rate it as very difficult and something to be tackled towards the end of the course rather than the beginning.

    @Chris – agreed. We included it here because it was a key aspect of our (my) view of the course – i.e. understanding impacting factors and scope of learning analytics and then moving forward with application of tools and then revisiting it in week 9
