Connected to Learning: Technology for Engagement and Retention
Faculty selected for the program will work together in an interdisciplinary collegial setting to explore and implement strategies and activities that promote student engagement particularly through the use of technology tools for teaching. Collaboration will take place through on-campus and online sessions with national and international leaders in educational technology. Participants will have the opportunity to funnel their experiences and insights gained back to their colleagues locally by presentations and discussions through mini conferences and workshops. Potential themes include building online communities, MOOCs, video conferencing, tools through Black Board, social media, and mobile learning.
