Denise Cauble teaches undergraduate Nursing Research and Community Health both on campus and online in the College of Nursing and Health Innovation. Through participation in the Professional Learning Community (PLC) this year, she plans to integrate synchronous learning strategies to enhance student engagement in her online courses. Her research interests are nursing education, geriatrics, and genomics. She recently completed her dissertation on examining factors and strategies that influence and enhance persistence in nursing students. In 2009, she was a Fellow in the Summer Genetics Institute (National Institute of Nursing Research). She also was Fellow in the FLAG Program (Faculty Learning About Geriatrics) at the University of Minnesota in 2012. Dr. Cauble is a practicing registered nurse of 33 years in various clinical settings, most recently, home health, hospice, and palliative care and is a Certified Wound, Ostomy, Continence Nurse. |
